Stained, Etched & Laminated Glass #4725724

Toughened Glass

  • Bending Strength 120-200 N/mm2
  • Conducive for Processing Cannot be cut after Toughening
  • Design Stress for Architectural Purposes 50 Mpa
  • Fragmentation Small round crystals
  • Mechanical Strength 4-5 times stronger than annealed glass
  • Surface Compression 95 Mpa
  • Tensile Strength 65 Mpa
  • Thermal Shock Resistance Up to 250°C

The toughened glass is made from out of annealed glass through the process called thermal tempering to give the glass the required strength. This type of glass is 4-5 times stronger than a simple annealed glass and is more resistant to the thermal stress. Toughen glass can bear up to 295oC as against the simple annealed glass that can withstand only up to 40oC-50oC.

Information

Heat strengthened glass is similar to toughen glass. The most important factor of heat strengthened glass is that is has very less wave distortion as compared to fully toughen glass.

This glass breaks into slightly bigger pieces and move towards edges. It is approximately 2-3 times stronger than annealed glass.

WE have one of the largest toughening plant in Gujarat having capacity of producing the maximum size of 3660mm * 2460mm with wide range of thickness from 4mm to 19mm. We have facility to perform toughening process for high profile glasses such as, Reflective glass. ST series glass and KT series glass.

Application

Due to the enhanced strength, a toughened glass finds a variety of uses in:

  • Capsule Lifts

  • Furniture

  • Glass

  • Glass facades

  • Heat proof

  • Home, Banks, Airport, Hotels, Schools, Hospitals, Offices Building

  • Interior Decoration

  • Partitions

  • Shower cubicles

  • Sliding & Swinging Doors

  • Structural Glazing

  • Windows

Benefits

  • Increased tensile strength

  • Thermal shock resistant

  • High heat withstanding capacity

Difference Between Normal Glass And Toughened Glass

Properties Normal Glass Toughened Glass
Manufacturing Simply melting the ingredients – soda ash, sand and lime at high temperatures and cooling it. Made by annealing the normal glass. Annealing is a process of reheating and cooling in order to retain the strength.
Strength Strong 4 times stronger than normal glass
Breakage Easily shatters into large pieces Hard to break and on breakage it breaks into tiny pieces
Safety If broken, can cause serious injury to people around. If broken, can cause mild cuts to people around but is not life threatening.
Applications Glass jars, containers, mirror, window panes, etc. Capsule lift, sliding & swinging doors, partitions, shower cubicles, etc.

Laminated Glass

  • Type Laminated
  • Shape Rectangular
  • Thickness 12-15mm
  • Color Transparent
  • Width 0.76mm
  • Usage Furniture, Building, Window, Door

Laminated glass is made by squeezing PVB sheet between two glass panes. Sealing is done by passing a series of pressure rollers and then by the process of autoclaving. During the manufacturing of the laminated glass, chemical and mechanical bonding is developed between the glass and the PVB sheet. These glasses find their uses for security and safety purposes and can be used in:

Application:

  • Automotive and transport industries
  • Building and housing products
  • Building facades
  • Car windshields
  • Properties

Due to the chemical bonding between the PVB and the glass, the laminated glass remains intact even if there is any breakage. The material used in the PVB material has a visco-elastic property which in helps in the reduction of sound and hence provides acoustic insulation.

Benefits:

  • Istallation is simple just like any other glass.
  • It is durable.
  • It is very safe for overhead glazing.
  • It reduces transmission of Ultra Violet rays and so protects the furniture from getting faded.

Protects people from injury as the glass remains intact even if it is broken Provides greater safety and hence commonly used in the places that require higher security, such as jewellery shops and partitions. The thick layers of the glass can withstand bullets and bomb blasts.

Triple Glazed Insulating Glass

  • Shape Triangle
  • Thickness 12-15mm
  • Color Transparent
  • Bending Strength 120-200 N/mm2
  • Tensile Strength 65 Mpa
  • Quality Superior

Krishna tuff insulated glass are automatically sealed combination of two or more sheets of glass separated by dehydrated airspace. The air space between the glasses is filled within air or gas like argon gas which provides better insulating performance. Typical the aluminum spacer is grilled with desiccant to prevent condensation and improving insulating performance.

Product Description :The most important function of the ktuff insulated glass is to improve the thermal performance by reducing the u-valve used  in architectural applications. It has acoustic benefits also.Krishna tuff provides various insulted glass such as, Double Glazed Unit (D.G.U) & Triple Glazed Units (T.G.U).

DGU Insulated Glass

  • Shape Square
  • Color Transparent
  • Bending Strength 120-200 N/mm2
  • Quality Superior
  • Tensile Strength 65 Mpa
  • Thermal Shock Resistance Up to 250°C

We offer two types of Units:Double Glazed Unit (DGU) /Insulated Glass: DGU insulated glass is made by combining two or more glass sheets together separated by a dehydrated air space between them. The air used to fill the space is Argon gas to provide higher insulation. These glasses are mostly used for acoustic benefits.
Triple Glazed Insulated Glass Unit (TGU):

TGU is another variant of insulated glass and is even more powerful than a DGU. Applications remain the same, and on the basis of the acoustic strength, you can make a choice between a DGU and a TGU.

Inforamtion:

  • The most important function of the ktuff insulated glass is to improve the thermal performance by reducing the u-valve used  in architectural applications. It has acoustic benefits also.
  • Krishna tuff provides various insulted glass such as, Double Glazed Unit (D.G.U) & Triple Glazed Units (T.G.U).

Application:
