We are offering compressed air/ petrol preheating machine. Conventional preheating system that used a petrol tank and drum vaporizer need longer preheating time i.e. 12 minutes for 60 kg & 10 minutes for 52 kg rails which requires longer block periods and width of the heat affected zones is wider and the preheating process is also not uniform due to manual operation. A study by rdso had revealed that most of the rails fail along the axis of rails starting at the hole provided for joining the rails by means of fish plates and bolts. These rails fail due to fatigue at reversal of stress) the sharp corners of holes. To avoid this, a process of chamfering of holes on the existing rails by using high tensile bolt and nut, and a torque wrench with built-in ratchet has been evolved. the torque wrench exerts compressive load of 12.5 tons on the rail holes and the area around the holes will be work hardened and will be capable of withstanding a greater fatigue then the ordinary rails.

The toe load measuring device basically consists of a pre-calibrated helical spring (12) which has got a lever arrangement attached to it, in order to grip the elastic rail clip. The lever arrangement engages the toe of the ERC by means of a link hanger (3) and long-steel grip (1). When the spring is compressed by turning a rotating handle (7), the toe of ERC gets pulled up. The amount of compression is visible on a graduated scale (13) by a pointer (8). ii) The reaction for the pull is provided by a base, plate (4) having three legs (9a & 9b) and (15). Each of these legs acts as a point of support. Out of three points of support, one (15) rests on the top of the rail-head and two (9a & 9b) on the sleeper. iii) The helical spring is housed inside a box (11). The base plate is provided with two slotted holes so that supporting legs can be adjusted for using the device on different types of rail sleeper assemblies. iv) There are difference in the position if ERC-Mk-I & II, ERC-Mk-III and ERC-Mk-IV. The maximum difference of link hanger position is between ERC-Mk-I and ERC-Mk-IV i.e. 48-25.0 23.0 mm. Due to this difference in the centre toe position of ERC-Mk-I & ERC-Mk-IV, one leg of the toe load measuring device does not rest on the sleeper when toe load is measured of ERCs Mk-III & IV. To overcome the critical resting the leg on the edge of the sleeper an extra plate serial no. 19 as auxiliary base plate of spring base and making the base plate with slotted hole of 20.5 mm centre to centre has been adopted in modified version of TLMD.

The track feature recording system and its accuracy of measurement shall not be affected in any manner due to the induction effect of the above stated electric traction and signaling systems. 2.4 System shall be portable, light, compact, rugged, reliable and capable of functioning satisfactorily in harsh environment of dust, vibration, shock, water, wind, fog, which is normally encountered on Indian Railways. 2.5 Rechargeable battery shall be used as power source for operation of the system. The battery(s) shall have sufficient capacity for continuous working of at least 8 hrs. If needed additional stand by batteries may be provided. Suitable battery charger shall also be supplied. 2.6 The system shall have a storage capacity to record and store track features of at least 1000 Kilometers. 2.7 System will be installed on a BG or MG push trolley of standard design.
