Cylinder/Engine block is marked on main bearing caps & engine serial number. We have developed online marking machine which use PLC for logic building. These are all online marking machine generally placed between nut runner & leak testing machines. In most of the cases we mount two marking heads at right angles mounted on hydraulic slides. The head marking mb caps will mark one cap is marked one at a time, and then it slides to next cap. These machines can also be provided with powirzed/manual or power & free type conveyors. We also provided options in rollers. After marking if required component ejection by pneumatic pusher can be provided. Major installations are in auto majors like TATA MOTORS, ASHOK LEYLAND, and GREAVES COTTON etc.

Lot of machines have been supplied to Wipro Bangalore & Chennai for marking on hydraulic cylinder & some of other hydraulic components. All machines have been designed keeping in mind the verity of components to be fixtures. For example the picture on righ shows marking head mounted on pneumatic slide for up down movement used for marking only on cylinders. The one on left shows three separate fixtures & marking head which can be moved in 3 different directions by providing manual slides. This can be auto missed by providing servo motors. This particular workstation is used for flat, round & axial marking of hydraulic components.

VIN marking is one the most critical operation in a vehicle roll out line, & we have supplied n number of machine for the very application. It is a 17 digit number marked on the vehicle for registration. Car cabins, truck cowls, LCVHCV extruded chassis, Fabricated box chassis you name it we have a installation. In most of the cases our machine is connected to the assembly line PC which sends the VIN for marking. Depending up on the profile of the chassis we design the clamping structure (some them are shown in the pictures). It could be done by neumaticelectromagnetic or simply manual clamping (if cycle time is not crucial).

Cylinder head marking, these are also online marking machine. Marking head is mounted on pneumatic slide depending on where exactly marking is required on the component, either horizontally or vertically. All the activities are controlled by PLC like component entry, butting, and sending marking command, clamping & the done signal. In this also we give option of handling system like roller conveyor. We have also developed machine which have a turn table built in, component comes inside the machine it is turned by 90 degrees then marking is done. Major installations are in TATA MOTORS, KIRLOSKAR, etc.

What you see are special toolings developed for marking head which is hanged on a spring balancer. Operator positions the head on the component & gives mark command. Clamping & other operations are done automatically. Such kinds of machines are generally used for marking automobile axles, engine blocks, heavy castings etc.

Roll marking is suitable for high output continuous processes by powered machines. Rolling an inscription into a component lessens the marking load because only a fraction of the inscription is in contact at any one time. Many components can be marked without distortion by the rolling method which could not be marked successfully by pressing methods.
