Dot marking technology also called dot peen marking, stylus pin system or micro-percussion marking consists in indenting series of dots into materials to form human readable alphanumeric identification, logos and 2D Data Matrix codes.
Our systems are well known in the aerospace industry for extremely high quality of marks but also appreciated by many other industrial customers for their robustness and reliability.
The marking depth can reach 1.5 mm in mild steel on flat of uneven surface (pneumatic D versions)
Scribing technology generates high quality continuous line marking with very low noise level operations. Heavy duty models are perfectly well suited to Vehicle Identification Marking - VIN marking with deep and reliable indent permanent marks. Other models are preferred to identify flat component surfaces with fine characters of the highest legibility.
Lot of marking machines for tag plates have been supplied, right from simple standalone machines to online marking. We offer lot of options in plate holding fixtures pneumatic clamping etc. Integration of a standard barcode printer is possible by directly connecting it to one of the serial ports available on the machine controller. If volume of nameplates to be marked is very high then we also provide plate feeding fixtures, which automatically feed the plates in to the machine working on their own. We also design custom software so that PC could be easily connected to the machine, which can communicate with ready database avaiavailable to the machine. Full proofing can also provided by installing component presence sensors. Major customers are vehicle, motor, pump manufacturers.
VIN marking is one the most critical operation in a vehicle roll out line, & we have supplied n number of machine for the very application. It is a 17 digit number marked on the vehicle for registration. Car cabins, truck cowls, LCV/HCV extruded chassis, Fabricated box chassis you name it we have a installation. In most of the cases our machine is connected to the assembly line PC which sends the VIN for marking. Depending up on the profile of the chassis we design the clamping structure (some them are shown in the pictures). It could be done by neumatic/electromagnetic or simply manual clamping (if cycle time is not crucial).
We have manufactured lot special purpose machines for crankshaft marking. Standard machine will not work for this application, so design special holding fixture for crankshaft. The machines designed are both for offline & online marking application. In online marking we insert our marking fixture in the gravity conveyor. Due to weight crankshaft is pushed inside the fixture, it is located on pin diameter, if required clamped & marked. We have also developed offline marking machine as shown in second line of pictures. In this case the crankshaft is loaded manually on the fixture & then marked. A lot of these machines are in service in companies like BHARAT FORGE, MAHINDRA FORGINGS etc.
In most of the cases VIN marking is done on line, for this we generally suspend the marking head along with tooling by using any of the above shown methods.
We supply total solution like machine could be suspended through a spring balancer which in turn would be travelling on X/y KBK type steel rails. If Very rigid clamping is desired & weight of the unit is more, we supply pneumatic manipulator arms which are mounted overhead.
As the marking machine is traveling with the vehicle when the VIN is being marked, special data transfer cable are required which we import from Europe.
