SPECIFICATIONS:    The regulator strictly conforms to the SIERRA TECHNOLOGY and also satisfies the requirements of BIS specification IS: 9798 (latest)    The material of construction of various components of the Regulators as also the process of manufacturing adopted is strictly in accordance with the Sierra Technology    The measuring instruments, inspection gauges and test set-ups for checking the regulators and its components are in accordance with the Inspection Schedule for Sierra design pressure regulators    The pressure regulator has multipoint locking arrangement (5 points hold) as per the Sierra design for use with 25.6mm diameter self closing type valve of Kosan Technova design    Powder Coating: The regulator cover and body are dry powder coated with epoxy based powder paint matt finish of minimum 50 micro thickness. The procedure adopted for powder coating includes six tank treatment process including chromatizing / tropicalization.    The regulator operating tap spindle has a slot of 0.5mm depth and 1.0 +/- 0.1mm width across the center of the face of the spindle    The components are made of Dupont Derlin 500/900/1700P or Tenac 5010 or Celcon M90/M140 Virgin material or equivalent
Quality and Assurance:    The regulators are manufactured under the BIS certification scheme and are duly marked/approved by BIS before dipatch    Stage wise inspection and final certification of DPRs are carried out by BIS.    BIS Test Certificate is sent along with each batch of regulators

SELF CLOSING LPG VALVES:
    LPG Cylinder Valves are  25.6 mm dia Self Closing Type with Vertical outlet and incorporating vertical spring actuated spindle.    Valves inlet and oulet confirming to Kosan Teknova Drawing. Valve oulet is fitted with “Joint Packing”    Valves confirm to Bureau of Indian Standards Specifications IS:8737 :1995 and are duly inspected and certified/marked by BIS. THe material of the valve housing (valve body) comply with the physical and chemical properties of Brass as per IS:8737-1995 (latest)
SPECIFICATION FOR SAFETY CAP:
    Safety Caps are of “DUPONENT DERLIN 500/900/1700P OR, CELCON M-90 / M-140 OR TENAC-5010 (all virgin materials)” approved by Oil Industry Technical Committee (OITC) suitable for fixing at the oulet of Self Closing Compact Valve (25.6mm dia outlet)    Material for Safety Caps is of Virgin Material.    Safety Cap for Self Closing Compact Valve for LPG Cylinder is complete with spring and soft twin nylon chords with knot fused to ensure that it does not get opened under any circumstances.    Cap Spring is tempered in such a way that it should facilitate easy fitment/removal and it should not become loose after at least 1000 operations of opening and closing.    Nylon Cord : Twin Cord of diameter 2.50 mm (combined) & 150(+/-5)mm long.    Spring: Stainless Steel.    Safety Caps are moulded using Automatic Injection moulding machines only and not by semi-automatic/hand moulding machines.
Quality and Assurance:
    Raw material for Valves is tested minimum once in a quarter through an independent NABL accredited labratory for conformity of chemical composition of raw material to IS 8737:1995.    A copy of test certificate from independent testing labratory is sent along with each  consignment of the valves.    Calibration of all testing/measuring equipment is done as per BIS scheme of testing and Inspection.    Rubber Components are regularly tested for meeting specifications as per Kosan Technova Technology document    Punching on the Valve Hexagonal faces is clear and strictly in line with the drawing requirements.
