By adopting high resolution encoders, Leadshine easy servo drives apply servo controls on stepper motors, the same mechanism in those expensive brushless servo drives. In a Leadshine easy servo system, shaft position of the stepper motor is fed back to the servo drive in real time. The easy servo drive can then close the position loop and correct any position errors to eliminate loss of steps commonly seen in open-loop stepper motors.
Leadshine easy servo drives inherit favored features of both open loop stepper and brushless servo drives. When combined witheasy servo motors(stepper motors with encoders), Leadshineeasy servo systemssolve the fatal problem loss of steps of open loop step systems. Other drawbacks of open loop stepper systems like high motor & drive heating and noise are also significantly improved. Currently, Leadshine offers two series of easy servo drives. The ES-D series easy servo drives which take input voltage of 20-80 DC or max 80AC input to power motors from NEMA 23 to 34. Our ES-DH series easy servo drives can take direct 110 / 120 or 220 / 230 AC input to get rid of power supplies and power motors up to NEMA 42 easy servo motors to provide huge torque for big machines.
Since 1997 Leadshine has been providing motion controllers that are highly reliable, cost-effective, and easy-to-use PCI based motion controllers, which are available from single axis to 12 axes. By using one ASIC microcomputer, Leadshine's controllers provide excellent performance and can control many motion modes such as point-to-point positioning, jogging, linear and circular interpolation, continuous interpolation and helix interpolation.
All of those motion controllers are SMT processed with high reliability. They are suitable for stepper and servo control systems. Leadshine offers drivers, demo software, and documents to help the users to develop their own application software with VB/VC/C++ Builder/LabVIEW in Window95/98/2000/NT/XP/7.

Designed to interface industry standard rotary shaft encoders and linear encoders to PC compatible computers, the ENC7480 incremental encoder interface makes it possible to measure position, velocity and acceleration in such wide ranging applications as co-ordinate measuring machines, robotics and CNC machine tools.
Based on a custom designed ASIC quadrature counter, the ENC7480 interface card provides four independent encoder channels each with a 28-bit position counter with a maximum count rate of 4MHz. The ENC7480 contains a powerful event system which allows events generated by a trigger signal to latch encoder positions. Further more, 64 digital I/O are provided.
A comprehensive software support package includes libraries and examples for modern rapid application development tools such as Visual Basic, Visual C. Plug and Play software support for Windows 98/2000/ME/XP and NT enables simple installation and automatic configuration of up to 5 interfaces supporting a total of 20 encoders.

To solve the challenge of open-loop stepper systems depicted in the above figure, Leadshine offers the CS-D closed-loop stepper drives which can power NEMA 8, 11, 16, 17, 23, 24, and 34 closed loop stepper motors (stepper motors with encoders).
After adding an encoder to a stepper motor, a CS series closed-loop stepper drive can detect both the commanded target position & real-time position of the motor shaft and thus capable of closing the position loop like servo system. This approach makes the CS series closed-loop system not only solve the step loss problem of open-loop stepper systems, but also keep the simplicity and low cost features of open-loop systems. Therefore, Leadshine CS series is an ideal choice to adopt in new control systems, upgrade existing open-loop systems, and replace many servo applications. While the CS series can provide high performance you expect, it will also meet your low-cost requirement.
The ACS series fully digital AC servo drives are developed with 32-bit DSP control technology based on advanced control algorithm. Powering 50W to 400W AC servo motors or 25W to 180W brushless DC servo motors.These servos are widely used in small and medium automation machines and equipments, such as inkjet printers, engraving machines, electronics manufacturing equipments, special NC machines, pick and place devices, packing devices, and so on. Particularly suitable for applications desired for high speed, high precision, and low motor noise.

Leadshine DCS series drives are fully digital brushed servo drives developed with high performance DSP and advanced algorithms for smooth motion control. All inputs of those servo drives are opto-isolated. Taking step and direction control inputs makes Leadshine brushed servo drives easy to implement in many OEM applicaitions. They can drive 5W to 400W brush DC servo motors at very high precision smoothly and quietly with very low motor heating at very effective costs.
