Aluminium formwork manufacturers claim that the formwork is designed for nearly200 to 300 repetitions. However, for any average residential project weare able to use it only for20 to 40 times.The buying price of new formwork is very high and it is nearlyRs 9500 to Rs 12500 per sqm. If the formwork is not reused the value is not gained. Presently even manufacturing companies are offering re-design, but its a general trend that they try to push more and more new material. So ultimately the clients maximum material is remains un-utilised. we have analysed the various projects of ours and till today we have successfully re-used more than70% of material as it is, and 20% is modified. Adding up, in short90%of the existing material is re-used, only 10% had to be bought new that also in few cases. The reason behind this achievement and consistent achievement is nothing special, but design of formwork based on clients inventory and not as per formwork standard sizes. Also the experienced and sincere designers here first finalise the maximum re-usability possible and then it is checked by seniors. After approval only the actual designing is started.
