Keir is a large, pressurized or open vessel used for boiling, bleaching, and scouring cotton, including surgical cotton absorbent cotton. It is an essential part of the cotton purification process, ensuring the removal of natural oils, waxes, and impurities to make the cotton highly absorbent and suitable for medical applications.
