Our Products
We offer a complete product range of Dove Prism, Penta Prism, Equilateral Prism (Dispersive Prism), Corner Cube Retro Reflector and Beam Splitter Penta Prism
Dove Prismis a type of reflective prism which is used to invert an image.Dove prisms are shaped from a truncated right angle prism.A beam of light entering one of the sloped faces of the prism undergoes total reflection from the inside of longest (bottom) face and emerges from the opposite sloped face.Images passing through the prism are flipped , and because only one reflection takes place, the images handedness is changed to the opposite sense.
Coated dove prisms feature a protected aluminum coating with black Krylon paint on the diagonals and are ideal for displaced retro reflection. They provide a U-turn for laser beams.
Penta Prism is a Five Side prism, It has two important properties , First the image is neither inverted nor reverse while deviated by 90 degree. Secondly, It is a constant deflection device ;i.e all the transmitted rays are deviated by the same exact 90 degree. Slight movement of the prism does not effect the true right angle.
It is commonly used in Plumb Level, Surveying, Alignment, Range finding and Optical Tooling. The reflecting surfaces of this Prism must be coated with a metallic or dielectric coating. The standard Penta Prism reflecting surfaces are coated with aluminum with Black Paint.
Equilateral prisms have three equal 60 angles and are also referred to as dispersing prisms. Equilateral prisms are used for wavelength separating applications. Optica offers equilateral prisms in both uncoated and anti-reflective versions.
Corner Cube Retro Reflectorare used to reflect light beam back to the direction that it comes from. The reflected beam is always parallel to to the incident beam, and it travels in the reverse direction of the incident beam. This hold true regardless of the angle of incident beam. The beam reflection is achieved either through total internal reflection or by mirror coating on the rear surface of the retro reflector . An Incident beam filling the effective aperture, is reflected exactly back on itself.
The Protective Al2 coating can be given to the rear reflecting Surface to avoid totalinternalreflection failure at high incident Angle.
By adding a wedge and with partial reflective coating on first reflective surface, Penta Prism can be used as Beam splitter. We supply Beam splitter Penta Prism with standard Transmission/reflection (T/R) ratio of 20/80, 50/50. Other T/R ratio is available upon request.
Specification Remain Same as Penta Prism only You have to specify T/R Ratio while ordering with Sizes
TThis is used as a Mirror to deviate light through 90 degree and also as retro reflector to deflect light through 180 degree by total internal reflection
