The naturally hydrophobic PTFE membrane is ideally suited for gas filtration and aggressive chemicals such as acids, bases, and solvents. In addition, the hydrophobic membrane provides superior flow and pressure drop characteristics per unit area for gas filtration and tank venting applications. PTFE Cartridges are well-suited for critical applications where superior flow and particle removal efficiency at 0.1 and 0.2 micron is required.Sealing technology Thermal Bonding, No Adhesives, binders, or surfactants are used in the manufacturing process. Application
Multi-layer Cartridges are designed for the wide range of pre filtration application. Particles retention and reduction of bioburden from liquids as well as gases is ensured through coarse (upstream) to fine (downstream) depth filtration. This family of products is particularly suitable for the fluids that contain high bio-burdens or suspended solids. Filters are ideally used for clarification and pre filtration prior to membrane filtration.The highly retentive, graded porosity design removes particles in sequence by size - larger particles by the more open outer layers and smaller particles by the tighter inner layers. The outer layers act as a pre-filter while the inner layers provide the absolute rating at a specified pore size. This design efficiently spreads the contaminants throughout the media matrix resulting in superior contaminant holding capacity, lifetime and pressure drop as compared to other media cartridges.

Applications
Glass Microfiber Cartridges are highly retentive adsorption depth filters designed for removing colloidal & viscous contaminants in vaccines and culture media. The construction is with a high temp PP resin for longer life in elevated temperatures. The borosilicate microfiber media with polypropylene construction provides excellent chemical compatibility and superior flow. This positive zeta modified glass fiber media used in removal of contaminants such as colloids, lipids, protein aggregates and particles for biopharmaceuticals liquids. These filters can effectively protect the final cartridges to extend the service life. No adhesives or surfactants are used in the manufacturing process. The borosilicate microfiber is "non-fiber releasing."

These filters are specifically designed for use in applications where economy and reliability are critical. The polypropylene membrane is a reliable choice for the purification of aggressive chemicals, compressed gases, and vent applications. All materials of construction are FDA listed for direct food contact, and all components have been tested according to the USP Class VI biological tests for plastics at 121C.
