Filter presses separate the solids from the liquid so that the filtrate can be processed, packaged or delivered to the next step. Many processes in the food, chemical or pharmaceutical industries make products from liquid-solid suspensions or slurries.
Filter presses manufactured by us are of an intermittent type, designed to work in a batch process. The assembly of filter plates (cartridge assembly) is placed inside the shell with arrangements of tie rods and sealing gaskets. Liquid fed from a pressure source like a pump or line pressure is forced through the filter plates where it is filtered through the filter media placed on each plate. This separates the solids from the liquid where the solids are retained on the filter media and the liquid filtrate flows through the central channel into the outlet pipeline. The process is repeated by redressing the filter once it is choked or the batch is over.

RUBBER STOPPER STERILIZER

Rubber Stoppers (Bungs) are mainly used in stoppering vials and it is necessary tosterilize these as they are in direct contact with the product.Though the trend of using pre-sterilized bungs from the market is still prevalent, their viability is still a question, owing to the various handling & transportation issues leading to questions on sterility.
Pharmalabs unique Bung Processor along with a sterilizer enables customers to reap benefits of twin processes from single machine.The bungs are loaded into a drum and later placed into the sterilizer. The entire operation is done via PLC wherein the pre-set program determines the wash sequence (Eg. HEATED WATER SPRAY STERILIZER

Certain products need to be sterilized in its final container as this permits the measurement and evaluation of quantifiable microbial lethality. This is called terminal sterilization. Terminally sterilized products are treated in a microbially lethal process and hence represent the lowest risk category of sterile pharmaceutical products unlike products aseptically manufactured in a microbiologically controlled environment.
US PHARMACOPEIA GUIDELINES
Terminally sterilized products must have a probability of non-sterility (PNS) of not more than one in a million units produced. This is often stated as PNS of 106, or the probability of product bio-burden surviving the sterilization process in any single unit of product is less than one in one million. The proof that a terminally sterilized product complies with the 106 PNS can be accomplished by several different sterilization cycle development approaches. The proper application of this method requires extensive scientific knowledge regarding the sterilization method selected for use with a specific product.
DESCRIPTION
Super-heated water spray terminal sterilization is an efficient method for achieving sterility with highest assurance of the end product in sealed pharmaceutical containers.
The product is introduced in the sterilizer chamber on appropriate carriages and trays. The chamber bottom is filled with purified water which contains low bio-burden. This water is circulated in a closed loop, utilizing a high quality centrifugal pump. The water passes through an external heat exchanger to reach appropriate sterilization temperature before it is sprayed through perforated distribution plate from the top of the chamber in the cascade form. The elevated flow rate ensures even temperature throughout the chamber during the sterilization process. The water reaches the sterilization temperature quickly. The counter pressure is applied using the sterile filtered air to prevent any damage to plastic container or rubber closures from being displaced from glass bottles. After the sterilization cycle is over, the water is indirectly cooled through the external heat exchanger. The same cooled water remains in circulation resulting in cooling of load in the chamber. The entire sterilization cycle takes approximately 1 hour.

Vertical Plate Filter Press

This filter press is offered for filtration of solids from liquid in comparatively higher batch sizes. The Press can be precisely sized for the required filtration area and cake holding capacity. It finds application in pre-filtration of sterile products, syrups, beverages etc. It is available in plate sizes of 20 x 20, 40 x 40, 60 x 60 cms.
Size 60 x 60 cms is common in Beverages industry for the filtration of Sugar Syrup of higher brix value. It is provided with Hydraulic Power Pack as a closing device for units having higher filtration area.
Unlike the horizontal plate filter press, these units can be used for reduced filtration area by removing a few number of plates. In certain cases a blockage plate can help to meet unwarranted conditions.
Another distinct advantage is the usage of the by-pass plate which facilitates two-step filtration, e.g. 10 microns followed by 5 microns.

Airjet Cleaning Machine

This machine works on the principle of airjet cleaning of individual bottles in an inverted position by a series of jets. The bottles are loaded on the incoming conveyor for onward movement over the washing zone.
The bottles thus loaded are indexed and conveyed through a slat conveyor. The star wheel and the in-feed conveyor push the bottles into the in-feed inverter, where they are inverted. They then enter the cleaning zone in this neck-down position, where they pass over a series of jets located in the vacuum chamber. In the cleaning zone, highly pressurized airjets blow compressed air into the bottles and the vacuum sucks all the dirt and dust coming out of bottles, which is collected in a dust collection bag located in the vacuum cleaner. After passing through the cleaning zone the bottles enter the outfeed inverter where they are again repositioned facing up before they exit from the process.

Automatic Capping Machine

The machine consists of two filling syringes of suitable capacity connected to two filling nozzles. Syringes are driven by a mechanism consisting of a suitable gearbox and motor. Volume is adjusted by adjusting the stroke of piston of the syringe. The machine is provided with a continuous and foot switch mode for respective operations.
