3103/EM35MR Gas Fuel Control Valve

Woodwards 3103 control valve is an electric, stainless steel valve for use on DLE and SAC based aeroderivative gas turbines. Our valve is capable of metering gas flow between 50 and 40 000 lbhr (23 and 18 144-kghr). It is designed to be corrosion resistant and self-cleaning, allowing it to operate in sour gas environments (high sulfur content gas) that can cause problems for other valves. When used in conjunction with an EM35MR actuator and EM 24V digital driver, the 3103 valve delivers the demanding accuracy needed for DLE applications. The EM35MR electric actuator provides a more robust and reliable actuator platform as it eliminates the need for high maintenance hydraulic systems.

3151A Gas Turbine Water Injection Valve

In normal operation, Woodward's electronic control positions the water valve to closely follow fuel-flow schedule. This positioning accuracy, together with the actuator's fast response time, prevents excess water injection into the turbine during transients. The ability to quickly and accurately meter water over a large range, accomplishes two other very important tasks. It holds water costs to a minimum by metering only the exact amount of water required for effective emission control, and it prevents serious damage to the turbine resulting from excess water "wash-outs." The assembly's efficient design provides an internal metered bypass flow for pump stability and efficient pump utilization. The assembly is designed for use with supply pressures from 2413 to 10 342 kPa (350 to 1500 psi), and it can meter up to 250 Lmin (66 gal[US]min) of water, irrespective of supply pressure. The valve's flow accuracy is 5% of point or 0.5% of maximum flowwhichever value is greater. Standard seal material allows operation with supply water temperature up to 66 C (150 F).

GSOV25 Gas Shutoff Valve

Woodwards Gas Shutoff Valve (GSOV) platform provides high speed fuel shutoff for emergency and normal shutdown of industrial gas turbines. The valve operates at pressures up to 900 psia (6.2 Mpa) and, with its all stainless steel construction, assures availability of the valve under all operating conditions. The valve design allows minimum pressure drop by utilizing a straight through flow. This also keeps all critical moving parts and seals out of the flow stream. The GSOV uses line pressure as the primary motive force. A three-way electric solenoid (either 24VDC or 125VDC) acts on an internal pistonspring assembly to operate the valve. Failsafe operation is assured, since the valve is closed when trip voltage is absent. High temperature and high reverse differential pressure options are available, as required.

Hydraulic Globe Valves

The HGV design incorporates a pressure balanced metering plug which is directly connected to the output rod of a single-acting hydraulic actuator. A dual or triple coil electro-hydraulic servo valve controls the pressure applied to the actuator, and an integral hydraulic fluid filter provides protection against fluid contaminants. A DC-LVDT position feedback transducer is located within the unpressurized side of the actuator and is mechanically connected to the actuator piston. Fail-safe valve operation is assured by internal loading spri ngs. A visual stroke position indicator is provided on the actuator. The valve stem seals achieve zero leakage of gas or hydraulic fluid from the assembly. Integrated hydraulic- or solenoid-initiated trip valves are available for fast shutdown by an independent system. Optional features include various flow-versus-position characteristics, electric actuation, and the choice of ANSI B16.5 Class 300, 600 raised face flange or weld- neck-style connections.

Liquid Shutoff Valve

The Liquid Shutoff Valve is a three-way valve designed to rapidly shut off all liquid fuel flow and prevent leakage to the turbine. In the de-energized state, the valve diverts inlet flow to bypass ports, preventing pressure damage to positive displacement fluid systems. Normal installation of the 21.5 pound (9.8 kg) valve is in the fuel line between the fuel regulating valve and the turbine. The valve diverts flow from the discharge to bypass ports anytime the operating electrical signal is lost. The valve is available in four voltage configurations.

SonicFlo Gas Fuel Control Valve

Woodwards SonicFlo hydraulically actuated valve controls gas flow to any size industrial or utility gas turbine. The unique design yields a linear flow versus stroke characteristic that is unaffected by discharge pressure up to a pressure ratio (P2P1) of at least 0.8 for Standard Recovery and at least 0.92 for High Recovery. (Optional flow profiles are available.) The integral hydraulic actuator is a single-acting, spring-loaded design for failsafe operation. The servovalve is electrically redundant with a triple coil design and dual or triple redundant LVDTs (linear valve displacement transducers). Valve sizes are available from 2 to 8, with multiple flow profiles for each valve size. ANSI Class IV seat leakage is standard, with an optional Class V available.
