Castor cake is organic manure obtained after the expression of castor bean .Castor cake is truly organic manure which enhances the fertility of the soil without causing any damage or decay .It is enriched with the three big elements vital and conductive to proper growth of crops Nitrogen, phosphorous, and Potassium.It also has traces of nutrients like Manganese, Zinc and Copper, thus making it a balanced fertilizer.The physical appearences of the castor cake will be as flakes or powder .It is compatible with most other fertilizers. Pseudomonas is a biological fungicide containing the cells of rhizobacteria , pseudomonas fluorscens, Mode of actionIt controls the pathogens by winning the completion for food in the substrate.Antibiosis: offers along lasting control against the pathogens by secreting secondary metabolites which exhibit antibiosis effect on the pathogen. Methods of applicationGreen House patina mix of soil drench: mix pseudomonas in sufficient water (1000 ml or 2000gm/100l) to achieve uniform application. Apply at the rate of 200 ml per cubic meter of greenhouse potting mix, soil or planting beds. Seed dressing: pseudomonas @6ml or 8 gm per kg of seed can be used along with the appropriate stickers/wetting agents to coat the seeds.Seedling treatment: pseudomonas @10 ml or 20 gm/l of water prior to planting .over dosing dosing does not cause any harmful side effects. Drip system: Pseudomonas can be applied through the low pressure watering nozzles such as fan nozzles or other watering systems after careful filtering. Agitate to maintain suspension .for best effect, treat potting mix several days before it use for seeding or transplants. Soil application: The required quantity of pseudomonas can be mixed with the organic fertilizer3 liter, or 4 kg .pseudomonas in 1000 kgs of organic fertilizer. Mix it well and apply. Foliar spray: pseudomonas 3 liters or 4 kg/ha in 500 liters of water and spray during early crop stage. Repeat application every 15 days once in needed for better control.
