Shrinkage scale & template consists of a fine Calibrated Marking Template which is used to mark fabrics with a 14 inch scale, which is the bench mark for accurately determining change in Fabrics Garments. After the Fabric Garment is laundered dry-cleaned washed processed, the dimensional change can be read Directly & Accurately in Percent Change with the Calibrated Shrinkage Scale Rule. The scale is calibrated to check the shrinkage directly from 0% to 15% & even the stretch can be directly measured up to 15%. Shrinkage is width wise or length wise contraction of textile materials, usually after wetting or drying or exposure to elevated temperature. The bigger template has Slots in both Vertical & Horizontal directions. This template is placed on the fabric; please make sure that the fabric is in flat position before marking. The template is held firmly & marked on all slots by a marking pen, which easily goes inside the slot. The marked fabric is washed laundered dry-cleaned washed processed & dried (as per the method required). Now the calibrated scale is placed on the marks in each direction. The calibrated scale directly indicates percentage shrinkage or stretch. You may take minimum of 3 readings for accurate results.
