After heat-combination, the plastic surface is coated with the release agent, and the yarn surface is coated with hot-melt glue. It is water-resistant and moisture resistant, has strong adhesion & easy to tear. High-quality adhesive with super strong adhesion and holding power offers reliable and durable joints and seams sealing in HVAC ductwork application. It is also used for Sealing joints in foil insulation e.g. pipe sections, flexible duct wrap, thin-layer reflective insulation, spiral wrapping of pipe insulation providing a fire-resistive vapor barrier, and many other permanent holding & sealing applications. Low moisture vapor transmission rate makes Gomec Aluminum Tape an excellent vapor barrier.
