Polyester Helideck Landing Net, Color : Yellow

Helideck Nets are used on the offshore helicopter landing decks, oil rigs and platforms where more friction and support are required. The purpose of these nets is to prevent the Helicopter from rolling, skidding and pitching off the helipads.  Using natural fiber rope Sisal to avoid issues with rust & damage, the helideck net provides friction and grip for when the helicopter lands on the helipad.

Features

• Constructed of special rot proof treated ISI marked sisal rope capable of withstanding the most severe offshore weather conditions and ultraviolet radiation
• Size of Mesh 200 mm x 200 mm, Sisal rope dia 20 mm
• Helideck net are tucked interlocked and tied with sisal yarn at each cross section to prevent distortion of meshes. 
• Essentially used to spread out over helipads on drilling rigs, oil well platform etc.
• Prevent the helicopters from rolling and pitching off the helipads.
• Complies with CAP 437 (Standard for Offshore Helicopter Landing Areas)

CAP 437 Compliance 

CAP 437 Standards for Offshore Helicopter Landing Areas Chapter 3 7.3 states – “It is preferable that the rope is constructed of sisal, with a maximum mesh size of 200 mm.”

Standard Sizes

The minimum size of the landing net required depends upon the size/type of helicopter for which the landing area is to be used.  The following standard sizes are available:

• Small 9 metres by 9 metres.
• Medium 12 metres by 12 metres.
• Large 15 metres by 15 metres.
