It has been designed for the examination of large size specimens which generally cannot be placed on the stage of upright microscopes. This Design is often favoured by metallurgists and industrial users because it saves time and is so convenient to use.

| Stage | Co-axial Low positioned knobs provide X&Y motion to the specimen placed on the triple sturdy stage of 130x120 mm size. Two stage clips are provided in drilled holes to accommodate the specimen. |
| Illumination | Brilliant Illumination based on Koehlar system is provided on the side of microscope which is conveniently located in housing accommodating precentered 12V 50W halogen, Powered from the base built – in variable intensity control transformer. Housing incorporates condenser Lenses, iris diaphragm and slot for filters. |
| Focusing | The large focus control knobs located low down at a convenient position. The back lash free rack & pinion mechanism has 15mm range. |
| Fine Focusing | Highly sensitive, accurate, reading to .002 mm is provided. |
| Nose Piece | Quadruple revolving turret nose piece with positive click stops. |
| Binocular Head | The Binocular observation tube is 45(degree) inclined. It is replacable with Trinocular Head. |
| Objectives | Parafocal achromatic objectives 5x. 10X 20x & 40x are provided. |
| Eye Pieces | W/F10x (paired) coated and with eye gaurds |
| Camera Port | Camera port is provided on the microscope for photo micrography |
