an eva sole is a plastic sole that can be lighter and more flexible than rubber. 

eva stands for ethylene-vinyl acetate. That is an elastomeric polymer that produces materials which are "rubber-like" in softness and flexibility.  it is a plastic made by combining ethylene and vinyl acetate to create rubber like properties which can be used for shoe soles. 

 the soles are essentially eva molded to fit our required design then attached to the shoe or boot by our expert team.

we believe eva soles are a great addition to our shoes and boots. The softness and flexibility of the soles, combined with the shock absorbing qualities make it ideal for our merino runners whilst the heat retention is ideal for our wool boot.

here are five reasons we choose to use eva soles:

more flexibility. Eva tends to be softer than rubber, which means it means we have more flexibility 

lighter. The eva is lighter than rubber which, combined with the merino wool uppers, makes for a much lighter shoe. 

keeps you warmer. Eva doesn’t conduct as much heat, which means your feet will stay warmer for longer. This makes it the ideal sole for our wool boot.

shock absorption. Our eva soles absorb more of the step impact making for a more comfortable walk or run in our shoes.

durability. Eva soles can last longer than other soles.
