Complete Process Flow of the 2000 kg/hr Poultry Feed Plant Raw Material Intake & Cleaning The process begins with the intake of ingredients such as maize, soymeal, rice bran, sunflower cake, fish meal, and additives. A pre-cleaning unit removes impurities like dust, stones, and metal particles to ensure feed hygiene and protect downstream equipment. Grinding (Hammer Mill Section) A heavy-duty FABON Hammer Mill equipped with a 75 HP motor uniformly grinds raw materials to the desired fineness (up to 200–500 micron). The result is a homogeneous mix that promotes better digestibility and feed conversion ratio (FCR). Batch Mixing Section The ground material is transferred to the FABON Ribbon Blender or Double-Shaft Mixer, where precise mixing of micro-ingredients, vitamins, and minerals takes place. The mixer ensures uniformity with a coefficient of variation (CV) ≤ 5%, meeting global poultry nutrition standards. Pelletizing Section The mixed material is conditioned with steam and processed in the FABON Ring Die Pellet Mill (fitted with a 100 HP main motor). Steam conditioning improves gelatinization and binding, producing firm, glossy pellets of 2–4 mm diameter. Pellet die and roller sets are made from hardened alloy steel for durability and low wear. Cooling Section Hot pellets (80–90 °C) are cooled using a counter-flow pellet cooler, reducing temperature and moisture to safe storage levels (≤ 12%). This step enhances pellet shelf life and prevents fungal growth. Crumbling & Sieving Section For chicks and growers, the FABON Crumble Roller Mill converts pellets into uniform crumbles. The vibratory sieve ensures consistent particle size distribution and removes fines. Bagging & Packing Section The final feed is automatically weighed and packed in 25–50 kg bags using a semi-automatic weighing and sealing machine. The packing unit ensures accuracy, reducing wastage and manual labor.
