 indoor air in home/office often contains significantly more unhealthy pollutants than outdoor air, making it a significant contributor to poor indoor air quality. A mechanical ventilation system (erv/hrv) can be used to improve indoor air quality by exchanging indoor air and brings in fresh air from outside, while second air stream exhaust stale indoor air to the outdoors. It is desirable to maintain the same amount of incoming flow to outgoing air flow. This is referred to as a balance ventilation system and  erv also transfer both sensible and latent heat between air streams. In a result will not increase heat load of air conditioner.
