rms 3d optical dense point-cloud measurement system uses 3d optical measurement technology with heterodyne multiple-frequency phase-shift. Compared with conventional method of gray code plus phase-shift, rms surface scanner has such advantages as higher accuracy, wider single breadth (from 150mm to 3m), stronger anti-jamming capacity, less influenced by the brightness/darkness on the surface of object. No developer is required to spray on the object. The system is able to measure the object with sophisticated surface details.

when an object is being measured, optical grating projector projets multiple frequency grating on the abject. Two cameras with certain angle capture images synchronously, to which decoding and phase calculation shall be conducted. With the help of stereo matching technology and the triangulation method theory, the 3d coordinates of all pixels in the public view can be obtained.
