Contact SupplierGolden raisins are created by drying various types of grapes through sun drying or tray drying. These raisins are small, sweet, and have a wrinkled texture. Indian raisins come in different sizes and colors and have a similar flavor to the grapes they are made from. However, the drying process increases the concentration of sugar, making them much sweeter in taste. Due to their low moisture content, raisins are resistant to spoilage and are considered a stable food. They are essentially dried grapes of the natural seedless varietal type, such as Thompson Seedless, Selma Pete, Fiesta, and Dovine, which are sun-dried or dried on paper trays. California Golden Seedless and California Dipped Seedless raisins are mechanically dried and processed. Other types of raisins include Zante currant, Muscat, Monnuka, and Sultana. Raisins can also be processed into raisin paste and raisin juice concentrate. Once dried, the raisins are stored in wooden bins, have their stems and capstems removed, sorted by size, cleaned, and washed with water to ensure a safe and wholesome final product.
