The flute he plays is decorated with a yali head on the end of it. a yali is a mythical beast that is a cross between a lion, an elephant and an alligator. krishna’s figure is tall and slender. the flute he is playing is at a very steep downward angle. usually krishna plays the flute almost horizontal with the ground. this is a departure from the typical gopal krishna.
