Application: The cast components have to be separated from sprue or runner bar. The Abrasive
cut-off machine is used for this purpose. The ACM provides for a quick clean cut of in-gate and
it’s cost effective to use.
Specifications and Salient Features:
▪ Capacity : To cut Steel and alloy steel investment castings from the main
sprue at the in-gate.
▪ Wheel rpm : up to 3800 rpm approx.
▪ Work table : The machine is provided with a solid steel work-table of size
W600 X L750 with 12 mm ‘T’–slots.
▪ Abrasive wheel: Standard cut-off wheels of dia. 400mm. (16”) max.
▪ Laser guide : A laser line guide is provided to help the operator align the cut.
▪ Wheel travel : The Z-axis travel is 450 mm the vertical movement of the cutoff
wheel is manual and is controlled by a long handle.
▪ Drive : 15KW (20Hp), 3 Phase induction motor of reputed make.
▪ Motor : Siemens / Crompton Greaves / equivalent.
▪ Control Panel : Mounted on the equipment. Provided with mains indicators,
heater on/off indicators, Power switches, Fuses & control
switches. The panel is designed with separate power circuit and
control circuit.
