Contact SupplierFlapbrushes bring an entire new dimension to buffing by eliminating the need for buffing compounds. These nonwoven wheels are constructed such that the abrasive media is part to the buff itself. And by altering grain size of the abrasive, the grits available run from coarse through very fine. The firmness, or density, of the buff may be varied from soft to firm. The use of nonwoven flapbrushes requires minimal operator training, and also provides consistent results between operators. These units are typically used to provide “satin” finishes, popular in plumbing and door hardware.
Matchless flapbrushes are available in diameters from 4" to 20", with face widths from 1" to 6". The grits available are coarse, medium, fine and very fine, with varying densities or firmness. The most popular construction is aluminum oxide; silicon carbide is also available.
