AC Induction Motors

Three phase induction motors are motors where power is supplied to the rotating device (rotor assembly) by means of electromagnetic induction. The induction motor is the industries work horse. These motors are the preferred choice for many industries due to their rugged construction and absence of brushes.
ARCs complete line of three phase induction motors are manufactured using squirrel cage rotors utilizing both aluminum and copper bars. The three phase induction motor is designed to operate from a three-phase source of alternating voltage. The stator is a classic three phase stator with the winding displaced by 120°.
The motor's windings can be connected to a 3-phase AC line in two different ways, where the windings are connected from phases of the supply to the neutral; or delta, where the windings are connected between phases of the supply. ARC Systems, Inc. designs both types.
