Acetal Copolymer

Acetal copolymer offers design engineers a superior blend of strength, stiffness, lubricity, and dimensional stability. It comes in the standard natural (white) and black. Acetal copolymer is available in other colors, but these are generally run as a custom order. Acetal copolymer is FDA, USDA, and NSF approved in both the natural & black. Acetal copolymer is easily machined and fabricated.
Acetal copolymer has a 185°F continuous use temperature and a very low moisture absorption, along with a superior wear resistance. It also has an improved impact resistance and much lower outgassing. Compared to Acetal homopolymer (Delrin®), Acetal copolymer offers superior hot water resistance; more resistance to strong alkalis and thermal-oxidative degradation. Acetal copolymer also offers much less centerline porosity compared to that of Acetal homopolymer.
