Suspended baffles and banners provide an excellent means of allowing large quantities of acoustically absorptive material to be uniformly distributed throughout an area. Since the materials used in constructing most schools, gymnasiums, conference and manufacturing facilities are very hard, reverberant noise can seriously aggravate an already noisy environment.
Hanging baffles and banners are very effective for acoustical treatment in large open rooms. The acoustical baffles and banners have very high sound absorption coefficients ranging from nrc .75 up to nrc 1.15. Acoustical baffles are designed to hang vertically down from a ceiling, acoustical banners are designed to be hung horizontally to a ceiling. Both are very effective sound absorbers that work well to reduce reverberation and increase speech intelligibility.
