If you’re a production manager, engineer, or designer struggling to choose a specific adhesive or sealant, we can help with adhesives that are often used in place of or in combination with mechanical fasteners such as bolts, screws, or rivets. Unlike welding, adhesive bonding can be used to join dissimilar materials such as aluminum to fiberglass composite or PVC to ABS. Structural adhesives, such as methacrylates and epoxies, can produce bonds which are quite strong, exhibiting lap shear strength values greater than 3,000 psi. In many applications, the bond strength is greater than the strength of the substrates.
