To Use
• Before first use wash with warm water or in top rack of dishwasher.
• Place baked goods into Bread Keeper and rotate adjustable vent to “open” or “closed” to create the ideal environment for storage.
• Vent should be rotated to “closed” for use in drier climates to help prevent goods from going stale.
• Vent should be rotated to “open” for use in more humid climates to help prevent goods from molding. Items with a crisper crust, such as sourdough or artisan breads, should be kept with the vent open to preserve the crust. Freshly baked goods should also be kept with the vent open to allow steam and moisture to escape to minimize condensation.
• To slice bread slide storage container apart and pull bread board out. Slice bread directly on bread board.
Grooved design catches crumbs while slicing.
• For best results, place Bread Keeper in a cool area of the kitchen away from direct sunlight. Not
recommended for use in the refrigerator.
Tips
• If baked goods become stale, place ¼ cup (60 ml) of water in the Bread Keeper next to the item with the vent closed. After 12 hours your food will soften and be fresh for eating again.
• The Bread Keeper is a handy container for thawing baked goods. Use the Bread Keeper with the vent open when thawing anything from muffins or bagels to sliced bread.
Note
• Only four of the six feet on the Bread Keeper are non-skid to allow for easier opening.
