The pharma grade agar agar is specifically derived to be used as a laxative and other pharma applications such as for preparing emulsions, suspensions, capsules and surgical suppositories.
The chemical composition of our pharma-grade agar product makes it an ideal suspending agent for Barium Sulphate Radiology.

Agar Agaris used in the Pharmaceutical industry for many applications such as suspending agent for Barium Sulphate Radiology, intestine regulation, surgical lubricants and in preparations of emulsions, suspensions, capsules, etc. The main role of Agar Agar in the pharmaceutical industry is as an excipient. It is an inactive substance that is used as an effective carrier of the active ingredient enabling it to reach its target area successfully. Agar Agaris also widely used in making tablets and capsules.Agar Agar is also useful as a laxative. When hydrated, it provides a smooth, non-irritant bulk in the digestive tract. It is also used in preparation of emulsions, suspensions, capsules and suppositories in surgical lubricants and as a suspending agent for Barium sulphate radiology.
