Ametron Injection

We are offering ametron injection (ondansetron 2 mg/mi) belongs to the class of selective serotonin (5ht3) receptor antagonist used in the prevention and treatment of nausea and vomiting caused by chemotherapy, radiation, post-operation. It is an anti-emetic medication which contains the generic medicine ondansetron 2 mg ml.
ametron injection blocks the actions of chemicals in the body that induces nausea and vomiting. It affects both peripheral and central nerves. Ondansetron reduces the activity of the vagus nerve which deactivates the vomiting center in the medulla oblongata and also blocks serotonin receptors in the chemotrigger receptor zone. It produces little effect on vomiting caused by motion sickness, and does not have any effect on dopamine receptors or muscarinic receptors.
Ametron injection acts by the inhibiting the 5-ht3 receptors both centrally (medullary chemoreceptor zone) and peripherally (gi tract). It inturn inhibits the visceral afferent stimulation of the vomiting center and the chemoreceptor trigger zone.
Recommended dose:the recommended adult intravenous dosage is three 0.15-mgkg doses up to a maximum of 16 mg per dose. The first dose is infused over 15 minutes beginning 30 minutes before the start of emetogenic chemotherapy. Subsequent doses (0.15 mgkg up to a maximum of 16 mg per dose) are administered 4 and 8 hours after the first dose.
