Aqualyx is an injectable solution that contains deoxycholic acid, a substance that breaks down and destroys fat cells in targeted areas. It is used for non-surgical body contouring to eliminate stubborn, localized fat pockets that are resistant to diet and exercise. After the fat cells are destroyed, the body's lymphatic system naturally flushes out the dissolved fat over several weeks.

Procedure and results

Procedure: The area is first numbed with a local anesthetic. Aqualyx is then injected directly into the fat deposits using a fine needle or cannula.
