Local Name : Arnica Description : Arnica has creeping rhizomes and creet stems with yellow, daisy-like flowers in summer. Parts of use : Flowers, leaves, roots. Medicinal Uses : The toxic flowers contain compounts that stimulate circulation and reduce imflammation. An oinment or tincture is applied externally (never on broken skin)for brushes, sprains, and muscular and rheumatic pain. Recent research shows that Arnica stimulates the immune system.
