ASME BASIC CALIBRATION BLOCK 19.05MM LONG VERSION.
Dimensions: L X W X T (150mm X 150mm X 19.05mm).
Description: Special long variant for phased array or 60/70°transducers. The extra distance enables a complete skip to the "highest" notch. used to create the primary reference responses for UT weld inspection. The smooth scanning surfaces seen on the majority of generalpurpose test blocks, such as the IIW or DSC, are not present on ASME Basic Calibration Blocks because they are not designed to be a perfect replica of actual components. Instead, all of the surfaces of our Basic Calibration Blocks are media blasted to produce a rough surface texture that is more reminiscent of actual inspection conditions.
Geometry: Block has three side holes that are at least 1.5" deep and 3/32" in diameter. 1, 4, and 34T are the locations of the holes through the thickness. has two EDM notches that are 2%T deep, 1/4" at their widest point, and 1.0" at their shortest point. according to Fig. T-434.2.1 of ASME Sec. V Art. 4.Size: 34" thick, 614" wide, and 6" long.
