Description: The resolution properties of ultrasonic pulse-echo systems are assessed using the ASTM E317 resolution block, Figure 6. Without the Use of Electronic Measurement Instruments, Performance Characteristics of Ultrasonic Pulse Echo Examination Instruments and Systems are evaluated.
Geometry: Flat bottom holes of 6 no's with hole diameter 3/64 into be perpendicular to faces and depth of 0.1" 0.2" 0.3" 0.5" & 0.7".
