High Volume Air Sampler for PM2.5

KDM Global's line of extremely reliable and durable samplers created for capturing particulate matter and gaseous contaminants in ambient air are known as High Volume Air Samplers (HVAS).

The High Volume Air Sampler (HVAS) is a piece of equipment used to sample huge amounts of ambient air in order to filter out the particulate matter it contains. Finely divided solids or liquids that are spread in the air from natural sources, industrial operations, or both are referred to as particulate matter.

To stop collecting of particles larger than a certain size, a Size Selective Inlet (SSI) is used as a pre-filter. Size Selective Inlet (SSI) PM 2.5 only allows particles with an AED = 2.5 micron diameter to enter the collection medium; particles larger than 2.5 microns are not allowed.

Features of the physical design:

High Volume Air Samplers, such as the PEV-HVS and PEM- RDS series, PM2.5HVS, are made up of a large blower, a filter to catch suspended particles, and a way to gauge the flow rate. Through the side apertures of the SSI, suspended airborne particles are sampled at sampling rates ranging from 1.1 to 1.6 m3/min and collected on a 203 x 254 mm filter paper.

·         Electronic Control Module with a Microprocessor; 32-character LCD Module with alphanumeric characters; Electronic Timer Cumulative Totalizer.

·         Continuous Duty Blowers; Settable Delay & Sampling Time

·         The exhaust orifice plate meets with USEPA standards.

·         An optional gaseous sampling attachment for all models.

·         By replacing the gable roof with SSI, it can be transformed into a PM10 sampler.

Unique Characteristics:

 • Free flow without resistance at 1.1 to 1.7 Cu m/min flow rate.

• Particle Size: Depending on the filter being used, down to 0.3 micron. Filter holder made to fit any standard 8" X 10" (20.3 X 25.4 cm) size filter sheet.

• The GF/A filter is advised for general use, and EPM 2000 for specialised research.

• Time Totalizer: Record the running time in hours from 0 to 99999.99 hours for sampling time:

• Automatic Sampling: A 24 hour programmable timer that automatically turns the device on or off after the preset intervals can be easily set.

• 220 volts, 5 amps, single phase AC power requirements.

Rotameter flow rate is measured with a plastic body flow metre with a 2% FSD accuracy between 0 and 3 lpm.
