APFC or Automatic Power Factor Control Panels are mainly used for the improvement of Power Factor. Power Factor can be explained as ratio of active power to apparent power and it is a key factor in measuring electrical consumption. Everyone knows that how costly electricity has become in present time. Therefore it becomes utmost important to cut down on electrical consumption for reducing expenditure.

FEATURE

Phase failure / loss from supply and motor side.
Phase reversal / wrong phase sequence from supply side.
Phase to phase current unbalance 50 % of set current.
Electronic overload.
Remote sensing dry run / No load current.
Extreme high current (EHC) or short circuit as per pump current.
APPLICATION
The speed of a star-delta, squirrel cage induction motor depends on the number of poles of the motor and the supply line frequency (hertz).
That is, the inrush and line current in the star connection are one-third the values of these quantities in the delta connection. Starting on the higher current delta connection would bump the voltage and create line disturbances.
