Axial Flow Pump Test Rig

The ‘Swarg Systems & Instruments’ test rig consists of axial flow impeller, driven by electric motor. The impeller is housed in the casing, which sucks water directly from sump. A pressure gauge on discharge side measures the delivery head. A venturi alongwith mercury manometer measures the discharge. Input to motor is measured on energymeter thus the discharge, head & input can be measured & characteristics of pump can be determined at various heads. The unit is available in constant speed & variable speed type.

SPECIFICATIONS

1. Axial flow pump – Propeller type axial flow impeller housed in casing. Suction & discharge size 4”x4”.
2. Sump tank – 200 liters capacity.
3. Drive motor – 1 HP 2800 rpm 3 ph AC motor, or 1 HP 3000 rpm d. c. motor.
4. 4 NB piping with valve to control head.
5. Energymeter for motor input measurement.
6. Pressure gauge for head measurement.
7. Orifice meter & mercury manometer for discharge measurement.
