Did you know that? Yeah, Neither did we. And when we found out, we decided to perform more research on what Fast Fashion and Unsustainable Clothing is doing to us and our planet.
We found some devastating facts and that is when we knew we had to form a brand which promotes sustainability and is eco friendly. To name some, they are:
Fast fashion brands like Fashion Nova, Boohoo, Revolve, Pretty Little Thing and Forever 21 all score less than 10% on the Fashion Transparency Index
85% used clothes go to Landfill and only 15% are reused out of that only 1.3% is recycled.
It takes more than 5,000 gallons of water to manufacture just a T-shirt and a pair of jeans.
Fashion is the 2nd biggest polluter of earth.
The fashion industry contributes 10% of global greenhouse gas emissions due to its long supply chains and energy-intensive production.
And quite frankly, the list could just go on and on. Devastating, isn’t it? That is why we’re here today.
Already having an experience of 19 years in the textile industry was something that acted as a backbone of Bamboology Trends and therefore we first began our journey post the pandemic (Covid-19). We had braced ourselves to go on the journey to find the most sustainable, eco friendly and antibacterial clothing fiber to keep our consumers healthy and safe, while also striving to protect them from any infections.
