• Soil type : Banana is a heavy feeder crop and can be grows well on wide range of soils, except very sandy and heavy black cotton soil with poor drainage
• Temperature : The optimum range of temperature is 15^oC to 35^oC. The upper and lower limits are 40^oC and 10^oC, respectively.
• Variety : Grand Naine ((G-9)
• Time of planting : Throughout the year, depending on the weather parameters like temperature, humidity, rainfall, wind velocity etc. Avoid planting in very low and very high temperature.
• Spacing : Depends upon vigorousness of variety, preferable 1.5m x 1.5m
• Days to flowering : 8 to l0 months after planting
• Harvesting : Bunch become ready within 2 to 4 months after flowering
