Barium Stearate is the Barium salt of stearic acid having chemical formula C36H70 BaO4. It is white ,water insoluble,non hazardous ,waxy , non toxic powder with a slight characterstic fatty odor and a greasy touch. It is a soft fine fluffy free flowing powder.

General Application : It is a heat stabilizer and lubricant for PVC compound. It is used in PVC rigid pipe, window profiles, soft transparent film, masterbatches, lubricant and releasing agent for plastics. It can be used as a flatting agent in lacquers, coatings and inks and as a drying lubricant for rubbers.
