Fastener Dimension, INC. is proud to announce that we are now stocking Shur-Lok brand Barrel Nuts, Barrel Nut Retainers and Barrel Nut Tandems. The Barrel nut is used in high-tensile applications, securing heavy structural members to the fuselage. These heavy members can consist of but not limited to hanging aircraft engines or attaching wings or tails to the fuselage. They can also be used in attaching the landing gear and wing tips. By using these barrel nuts, you will minimize drilling and eliminate the need for long expensive bolts when attaching these heavy structures. Barrel Nuts are available in advanced aerospace alloys, Floating or fixed (non-floating) nut location in the carriage, metallic or non-metallic materials.
The Barrel Nut Retainers are to assist in easy bolt installation to the barrel nut. These products are available in high strength aerospace alloys, metallic locking and non-metallic rings. These retainers can be used on both floating and non-floating Barrel Nuts.
Barrel nut tandems are also available for easy installation, these tandems come with spreaders that articulate and have attached retainers or lanyards.
