BATIK CLOUD BLUE SQUARE PILLOW

Inspired by the respected, ancient, Chinese, lost-wax dye process, called La Xie, our printed, cotton and linen pillows use vintage, hand-drawn artwork combined with modern printing techniques. Traditionally drawn using a bronze knife dipped in heated wax, the original patterns were created on white cloth that was dyed blue. The fabric was then boiled in water to remove the wax, causing the intricately crafted imagery to appear. Our modern printed pillows are a beautiful, contemporary version of the classic handicraft.
