over 3000 households have been mobilised into bee honey collection from over 900 villages across the country with average collection of over 10 tons of honey per month. These households collect comb for resale from the rich natural tropical forests of zambia. The honey is naturally processed for sale to local and international markets. Many households have improved their income levels from surviving on less than a us$1 to now supporting their children's education to tertiary level. Their occupations have changed from charcoal burning to now honey traders. With more buyers more households could have their lives changed and support climate mitigation strategies in africa.
