Bergamot essential oil has a citrus aroma which is reminiscent of orange but is wonderfully more complex. It has an underlying floral characteristic to it. The yellow green peel of its orange shaped fruit is cold pressed to produce this essential oil. 

It mainly has uplifting aroma with tinge of sweet and relaxing elements. making it a popular ingredient in perfumes. The skin cleansing properties of this oil along with its elegant scent. makes it a popular addition to luxury shampoos, soaps and cleansers. 

Common Uses 

• Skin: It balances oily, acne prone skin, minimizes the look of scars and marks on the skin. It makes the distribution of pigments and melanin uniform. thereby resulting in even skin tone. 
• Body: The microbial properties of this oil prevent growth of germs that cause body odour and thus is an excellent natural deodorant. It also relaxes muscles and nerves. thereby giving quick relief from cramps and painful muscle contractions. 
• Mind: It is a wonderful relaxant that soothes nerves to help cure ailments associated with stress like sleeplessness and depression.
• Others: The refreshing and citrus aroma of this oil act as natural deodorant and air freshener. 

Blends Well With: Geranium. Lavender. Ylang Ylang. Orange, Clary sage. Frankincense. Mandarin. Jasmine. Black Pepper. Cypress. Nutmeg, Sandalwood. Rosemary. Vetiver 

Caution: Avoid during pregnancy and with sensitive skin. It can cause possible sensitization in some individuals, so use in very low concentration only. It is important to note that all Essential Oils are extremely concentrated in nature and if to be applied on the skin or body, should always be diluted upto a maximum dosage of 4% in a suitable carrier oil.
