Beta Barium Borate

Pockels cell are used to change the polarization state of light passing through it when a voltage is applied to the electrodes of electro-optic crystals such as BBO. Beta-Barium Borate ( β-BaB2O4, BBO ) with charactors wide transparency and phase matching ranges, large nonlinear coefficient, high damage threshold and excellent optical homogeneity and electro-optical properties provide attractive possibilities for various nonlinear optical applications and electro-optic applications. BBO pockels cell 2.5 x 2.5 x 25mm has the aperture: 2.0mm, lower quarter-wave voltage 2400V and lower half-wave voltage 4800V, so matched driver can reach higher repetition rate 100KHz. The size of the whole pockels cells is 20.00mm diameter, and the length is 35mm, it is really small volume for compact design, besides, protected window for sealed pockels cell design is available.
