beta-naphthol (β- naphthol)
melting point: 122℃
solubility: slightly soluble in water; soluble in ethanol, ether, chloroform and benzene. Be able to generate the corresponding naphthol salt when it is reacted with caustic soda and caustic potash solution. It’s 120 ℃ for the melting point of 2 - naphthol sodium, slightly soluble in soda and ammonia.
usage: beta- naphthol is used to make the intermediate of aniline dye industry, the antioxidant of rubber industry, the evaporation promoter of salt industry ,also for pigment, the oil paint and the render of glacial dye.
