Bicalutamide

Bicalutamide is a synthetic, nonsteroidal antiandrogen. Bicalutamide competitively binds to cytosolic androgen receptors in target tissues, thereby inhibiting the receptor binding of androgens. This agent does not bind to most mutated forms of androgen receptors.
Bicalutamide is an oral non-steroidal anti-androgen for prostate cancer. It binds to the androgen receptor.
Bicalutamide Is A Off-White Crystalline Solid. It Is Slightly Soluble In Chloroform And Absolute Ethanol; Sparingly Soluble In Methanol; Soluble In Acetone And Tetrahydrofuan Practically Insoluble In Water At 37 Deg C (5 Mg/1000 Ml) With Melting Range Of 191°C To 193°C .
