Composition :  Each ml contains - Ivermectin 10 mg.
Indications :  A parasiticide for the treatment and control of internal and external parasites in cattle, sheep and dogs.

• Cattle - BILIVIN 1 % Injection is indicated for the effective treatment and control of the following harmful species of gastrointestinal roundworms, lungworms, grubs, sucking lice,  mange and mites in cattle -
• Gastrointestinal Roundworms (adults and fourth-stage larvae) - Ostertagia, ostertagi (including inhibited O, ostertagi), O. lyrata, Haemonchus placei, Trichostrongylus axei, T. colubriformis, Cooperia oncophora, C. punctate, C. pectinata, Oesophagostomum radiatum, Bunostomum phlebotomum, Nematodirus helvetianus (adults only), N. spathiger (adults only).
• Lungworms (adults and fourth-stage larvae) - Dictyocaulus viviparous. Cattle Grubs (parasitic stages) - Hypoderma bovis, H. lineatum.
• Sucking Lice -  Linognathus vituli, Haematopirus eurystemus, Solenopotes capillatus. Mites (scabies): Psoroptes ovis (syn. P. communis var. bovis), Sarcoptes scabiei var, bovis.

Persistent activity : BILIVIN 1 % Injection has been proved to effectively control infections and to protect cattle from re-infection with Dictyocaulus viviparous for 28 days and Ostertagia ostertagi for 21 days after treatment, Oesophagostomum radiatum, Haemonchus placei, Trichostrongylus axei, Cooperia punctata, and Cooperia oncosphora for 14 days after treatment.
Details : BILIVIN 1 % Injection for Cattle: BILIVIN 1 % injection is indicated for the effective treatment and control of the following harmful species of gastrointestinal roundworms.

• Red stomach worm - Hyostrongylus rubidus (adults and fourth-stage larvae).
• Nodular worm - Oesophagostomum spp (adults and fourth-stage larvae).
• Threadworm -  Strongyloides ransomi (adults).
• Somatic Roundworm Larvae
• Threadworm -  Strongyloides ransomi (somatic larvae).
• Sows must be treated at least seven days before farrowing to prevent infection in piglets.
• Lungworms -  Metastrongylus spp (adults)
• Lice: Haematopinus Sui.
• Mange Mites -  Sarcoptes scabiei var. Suis.
• Reindeer -  For the treatment and control of warbles (Oedemagena tarandi) in reindeer American buffaloes (bison) -  For the treatment and control of grubs (Hypoderma bovis) in bisons.
• Ranch raised foxes -  For treatment and control of ear mites (Otodectes cynotis).

Metabolism :  Bilivin is readily absorbed, especially when given parenterally.  High concentrations of drug are sustained in the tissues for long periods, alter parenteral administration.  Drug residues occur mainly in the liver and fat with very little in the muscle.  The bulk drug is excreted in the faeces (98%) with only 2% in the urine.
Dosage :    

• Cattle 1.0 ml / 50 Kg B. Wt. Subcutaneously
• Sheep 0.5 ml / 25 Kg B. Wt. Subcutaneously
• Pigs    1.0 ml / 33 Kg B.Wt. Subcutaneously
• Dogs   0.02 ml / Kg B.    Wt. Subcutaneously
• (in case of heart worms 6 mcg/kg once in 30 days).

Precautions :  Bilivin is ineffective against trematodes, cestodes and adult canine heart worms.  Bilivin is toxic to certain breeds of dogs (collie), Intra venous and intra muscular administration should not be done.
